The Bürger-Uni was launched in 2015 with the aim of providing interested citizens with free access to scientific topics. Since 2019, the TUM Heilbronn Campus has been a partner of the events. Here, emphasis is placed on making knowledge and science on current, socially relevant topics, which contain a strong scientific as well as socio-political relevance, accessible to everyone.
The event is aimed in particular at residents of Heilbronn and people of the region of all ages who are interested in scientific topics.

In her lecture, Katharina Zweig presents a series of cases in which machines made flawed decisions. She illustrates the fundamental problem that humans cannot truly comprehend machines‘ decisions. She also presents a simple decision rule that can be used to determine whether a machine can help you make better decisions.
In her vivid lecture, the computer scientist and university professor explains the extent to which artificial intelligence has progressed, in which areas it can provide meaningful support, and where skepticism is appropriate.
