„In the 1970s, it was not a matter of course for girls to go to grammar school and study. A professional or scientific career was not planned for women. In my family, too, I stubbornly pushed through my high school diploma and university. I benefited from educational reform and the women’s movement. Early on, I was outraged by the widespread sexism in society. Inequality begins in everyday life with stereotypical, often restrictive role models and has an impact on the state and society, because „the private is political“. As the municipal women’s and equal opportunities officer, I am committed to equal rights, equal opportunities and equal participation for women and men. Without it, there is no democracy.“
